Dibentuk pada tahun 2009, band ini terkenal karena ciri khas sang vokalis Kellin Quinn yang mempunyai tipe vokal leggiero tenor, yaitu suara yang bisa dibilang mirip kayak suara cewek dan juga bisa menjangkau nada-nada tinggi saat menyanyi ataupun nge-scream. Ssst, fyi aja, dibalik kekerenan dan kegantengan seorang Kellin Quinn, ternyata dia itu berasal dari keluarga yang brokenhome. Orang tuanya bercerai saat Kellin Quinn masih kecil. Namun hal itu nggak membuat dia patah arang dan depresi. Dengan ketegaran hati dan semangatnya, dia mampu membuktikan bahwa kesuksesan bisa diraih oleh siapa saja, bahkan oleh anak yang hidup di ruang lingkup keluarga brokenhome sekalipun.
